CEO and Co-founder

Nick Terrafranca is Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of NeuroRecovery Technologies. He has led the company from inception through seed funding and the launch of commercial development of their break-through technology; and is now steering the company through Series B financing, positioning them to begin clinical trials on their first product an external (transcutaneous) spinal cord neuromodulation system.

Dr. Terrafranca is a serial entrepreneur, with 27 years experienced in the various disciplines of the Life Science Industry; his focus has been on developing, operating, growing and providing innovative solutions for the application of medical devices and healthcare related services. His professional experience has touched upon every facet in the healthcare delivery system from clinical practice, and product development to healthcare provider programs.

Some of his professional accomplishments have included: conceptualized, designed and developed a healthcare delivery program in conjunction with FHP Life Insurance Co.; consulted on the design and use of electric stimulators for orthopedic applications (VQ OrthoCare); launched and administered a mobile neuro-diagnostic program providing services throughout California (Spectrum Mobile Diagnostics); consulted on information technology resources for hospital systems – (Sphere Healthcare Systems); designed and co-developed several wireless devices for healthcare applications in conjunction with The Wireless Health Institute of UCLA (Medisens Wireless).



Chief Operating Officer

John Fischer is the Chief Operating Officer of NeuroRecovery Technologies (NRT). Mr. Fischer has two decades of product development and operational experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining NRT, Mr.Fischer was Director, Program Management of Cameron Health (acquired by Boston Scientific), where he led multiple product development efforts that delivered Class II and Class III medical devices to domestic and international markets.

Prior to Cameron Health, Mr. Fischer held various management positions in Operations, R&D, and Program Management at St. Jude Medical’s Cardiac Rhythm Management division. Mr. Fischer received his MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, M.S. in Electrical Engineering from California State University Northridge, and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.
